The Jollibee Kids Convention is back in Cebu and it promises to be bigger and better this year. Kids and kids-at-heart are invited to the biggest kids’ convention in the Philippines, which happens on August 25 to August 26, 2012, at the convention hall of J Centre Mall in Mandaue City.
Admission to this two-day event is free to all Jollibee Kids Club Members (JKC). According to the organizers, more display booths for kids will open. For the first time, kids will get to enjoy the magical Jollitown they often see on television that features five (5) life-size houses, the famous wishing well and of course, Jollibee and his friends.
Aside from the interactive Jollitown, the country’s most popular fast food chain has prepared a full line up of enjoyable activities to its loyal and new club members. There are a lot of cool freebies that include a Jollibee Kids Party (JKP) package, as well as surprise raffle draws. Attendees should also watch out for the colorful Red Ribbon cake exhibit and adorable JKP exhibit.
On the first day of the convention, dress up your kids as their favorite Jollitown character and they may just bag the grand prize of the Jollitown Cosplay Contest. Children ages 6 to 12 years old may dress up as Jollibee, Yum, Hetty, Popo, or Twirlie. The event to watch out for on the second day is the inter-school hip-hop dance competition. It is a group contest for dance enthusiasts ages 8 to 12 years old.
Jollibee is the leading fast food chain in the Philippines that presently operates a nationwide network of more than 750 stores. Internationally, Jollibee has expanded in the USA, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Qatar, and Brunei, firmly establishing itself as a growing international quick service restaurant (QSR) player.
Jollibee was set up by Tony Tan and his family, humbly starting out as an ice cream parlor. Now considered a promising global brand, Jollibee credits its success to “a family-oriented approach to personnel management.” As a matter of fact, it garnered the Best Employer in the Philippines Award from Hewitt Associated, Employer of the Year Award from the Personnel Management Association of the Philippines and it was ranked in the Top 20 Employer in Asia citation from the Asian Wall Street Journal.
Jollibee’s mouth-watering Pinoy favorites include the Chickenjoy, Yum burgers, Jolly Hotdog, Jollibee Spaghetti, Palabok Fiesta, Burgersteak, and Jolly Crispy Fries. They offer seasonal desserts but their classic Hot Fudge Sundae and Peach-Mango Pie are always a hit.
Unlike other businesses who fail to identify their target audience, Jollibee truly knows its market: the traditional family. The brand’s goal to promote the importance of family values reflects on their promotional materials. As a result, Jollibee remains to be the number one family fast food chain in the hearts of Filipinos here and abroad. In addition, Jollibee boasts of “well-trained teams that work in a culture of integrity and humility, fun and family-like.”
Aside from providing high quality food, a clean and warm in-store atmosphere and efficient service are always on top of the brand’s priorities. These are made possible by efficient manufacturing and logistics facilities. With Jollibee’s tried and tested formula of providing delicious food, adhering to world class operating standards and strong campaign for family values, it is not surprising why it is a thriving force in the local and overseas market.
Jollitown is a television program for children produced by Jollibee that airs every Sunday morning. It originally aired on GMA Network, but moved to ABS-CBN at the start of the fourth season. The educational show that features Jollibee, Hetty, Yum, Twirlie, and Popo has garnered multiple awards including the Araw Awards and the Tambuli Awards.
Now on its fifth season, the kid’s show takes its viewers outside Jollitown for the first time. They travel around the different islands of the Philippines in search for the Vault of Values owned by the Council of Values. The vault contains crystals and has been stolen by the wicked Virus Elvira, who threatens to cause chaos in the universe.
